Patricia Quinn Obituary

 

Patricia (Garrigan) Quinn of Newton passed away on March 17, 2024 with her loving family by her side. She was 81.

Pat was born in Boston to the late Raymond and Marjorie (Myers) Garrigan. She grew up in the West End of Boston and graduated from Mount Saint Joseph Academy, later earning her Associates degree from Mass Bay Community College.  She had been a preschool teacher at the Second Church Nursery School in West Newton for 30 years. She was a dedicated teacher who loved watching her students learn and grow. 

She enjoyed spending her summers with family and friends on Cape Cod at Peter’s Pond in Sandwich.  She cherished time spent at family gatherings and always loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Pat was an active member of her church community and was a Eucharistic minister at Our Lady’s Church in Newton for many years. 

Pat was the beloved wife of Charles F. Quinn and loving mother of Susan Rober and her partner Joseph of Maynard, Karen Misasi-Humphreys and her husband Jonathan of Oregon, and Robert Misasi and his wife Marjorie of Southboro. Dear grandmother of Ian, Asher, Brinley, Kate, Anna, Gavin, and Sara and great grandmother of Dominick and Anthony.

Family and friends are invited to gather for visiting hours at the Eaton & Mackay Funeral Home 465 Centre St NEWTON CORNER on Sun Mar 24 from 4pm – 7pm. Mass of Christian Burial in Our Lady Help of Christians Church on Mon Mar 25 at Noon. A reception will follow the Mass in the lower church hall after which interment will take place in Mt. Auburn Cemetery Cambridge. 

 In lieu of flowers, a donation in memory of Pat to the Cancer Center at BIDMC 330 Brookline Ave. Boston, MA 02215 (www.bidmc.org/giving) would be appreciated.
