Paul J. Glasheen, a resident of Needham, Massachusetts for 49 years, died unexpectedly on March 12, 2024.
Paul was born in Boston, MA on October 22,1941 to Richard J. Glasheen and Gertrude (Burns) Glasheen. Growing up in Roslindale and then West Roxbury, he attended Mission Church High School (class of 1959) and Boston College (class of 1963).
Paul met his loving wife, Marilyn Flavin, in 1963. They married in 1967 and celebrated their 56th anniversary this past July.
Paul built a successful career in corporate financial management. He was a sports enthusiast who loved BC football and basketball and held season tickets to both for many years.
Paul was the devoted father of Erin Oliver and her husband Kevin of Needham, and Paul Glasheen, Jr. and his wife Kristen of Tucson, Arizona. Paul is also survived by his cherished granddaughters, Sarah and Caroline Oliver of Needham.
Paul is survived by his brother, Richard J. Glasheen, Jr., of Bourne, MA and his sister, Mary Fitzgerald, of Plymouth, MA.
Visiting hours are from 9-10:45 AM Saturday, March 16 at Eaton Funeral Home, 1351 Highland Ave, Needham, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11AM at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 1360 Highland Ave, Needham. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Burial will be private.
