Aldona Svelnis Obituary

Aldona R. (Kukauskas), Svelnis, 92, of Needham, passed away on Friday, May 3, 2019. Aldona was a graduate of Burdett College and was a longtime sales associate at Jordan Marsh in Framingham. She loved decorating her home, holidays with her family and gardening. Aldona played the piano and accordian and was an avid Red Sox and Bruins fan. She was a woman of great faith and was a daily communicant and faithful parishioner of St. Joseph Parish. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph C. Svelnis and the loving mother of Bob and his wife Luann Svelnis of Grafton, Kathy Marchetto of Harrisburg, PA, Marty and his wife Lisbeth Svelnis of Nashua NH and Regina Svelnis- Dapsys and her husband Victor Dapsys of Whitman.  Sister of the late Albert and Joseph Cook.  She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and cousins. Visiting hours in the Eaton Funeral Home, 1351 Highland Ave, Needham, on Wednesday, May 8th from 4-7 pm. Relatives and friends kindly invited to attend. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in St. Joseph Church, 1362 Highland Ave, Needham, on Thursday at 10am. Interment is private for the family. The family is grateful for the caring and compassion shown to our Mother from the staff and medical team at the Stanley R. Tippett House.  In lieu of flowers donations in Aldona's name may be made to the Stanley R. Tippett House, 920 South St, Needham MA 02492
