Claire Fletcher Lawson

Claire Fletcher Lawson, a lifelong Needham resident, passed away on Saturday, December 15, 2018. She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years Andrew Lawson and her parents Helen (Steves) and Willard Fletcher and her siblings Frank, Willard, Ernest, Evelyn and Helen.

She worked at the soda fountain in Kinnes Pharmacy in her teens, where she met Andy, and went on to work there part time as cashier for forty years. In later life she worked at Needham Pharmacy, Birds Hill Pharmacy and North Hill.

Claire rarely missed her High School reunions, class of 1945, and only stopped in recent years.

She leaves her four children, Tim and Jeanmarie of Natick MA, Robert and Cindy of Plymton MA, Tom and Julie of Naples FL and Patty and Damas Kirk of Naples FL, five grandchildren and two great grandchildren, also her dearest friend Shirley Lovetere.

A Funeral Service will be held in the Eaton Funeral Home, 1351 Highland Ave, Needham, on Friday, January 4th at 11 am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Friday morning from 9 -11 am prior to the service. Interment will take place at Needham Cemetery. After the cemetery all are invited to celebrate Claire’s life at the VFW Post 2498, 20 Junction St, Needham. In lieu of flowers donations in Claire’s name may be made to the First Baptist Church of Needham 858 Great Plain Ave, Needham MA 02492.
