G. Warren Jackson of West Newton, formerly of Cambridge, passed away on Sunday September 30, 2018 at the VA Hospital in Bedford MA.
Warren proudly served in the United States Navy during World War II. He was also a Past Master and brother at the Amicable Lodge. He was a devoted member of the Shriners Marching Band, and the Milton Post Band, dazzling people with his Clarinet play for over 50 years. Warren was an incredibly hard worker, salesman, dedicated Father and Grandfather. Warren had many hobbies but on his free time he especially enjoyed playing golf, playing cards at the VFW and spending the holidays with his loving family.
He was a dedicated member of the St. Peter's Episcopal Church where he met and fell forever in love with his beloved wife of 56 years , the late Gloria May Jackson (Folger). Warren, son of the late George and Blanche Jackson was also predeceased by his siblings: Harriet, William, Leonard and Harold. Loving Father of Deborah Jackson-May and her late husband Lester of Yorktown Heights NY; Marsha Savilonis and her Husband John of Natick MA; and Judith Kyparissoudas and her husband Achilles of West Newton MA. Dear Grandfather of Vanessa McGrath (Casey McGrath), Rebecca May (Evan Bisset), Ashley Savilonis (David Lyons), Eleni Webb (Garett Webb), Aviva May, Benjamin May, and Evan Kyparissoudas. Great Grandfather of Jordan, Jackson and Bailey McGrath, Valerie May, Emilia Webb and Isabella Lyons. Warren is also survived by his beloved nieces and nephews his cherished extended family and dear friends he loved.
Funeral services will be held St. Peter's Episcopal Church 838 Mass Ave. Cambridge MA on Saturday, October 6th at 10:00 a.m. All are welcome to attend. Visiting hours at the Eaton Funeral Home 1351 Highland Ave. on Friday 4-8 p.m. Interment Newton Cemetery, followed by a celebration of life held at his home.
