John B. “Jack” Coughlin III, passed away on Monday, February 11, 2019. Jack left this world in comfort and peace, surrounded by family. He was a dedicated family man who enjoyed being outdoors landscaping, coaching hockey, playing softball, jogging, cycling and working out in the gym. He was happiest vacations in St. Barths or enjoying time with his family by the lake, at the beach, sitting by the pool, next to a campfire or skiing. Jack had a successful career as a salesman for The Tripp Company, which was owned by his best friend, Gerry Tripp.
He was born in Natick to John Jr. and Eileen (Wilson) Coughlin and raised in Needham with his sister Peggy and brother Charlie.
Remembering and preserving his memory is his loyal and loving wife of 60 years, Mary Rose Coughlin and his children; John Coughlin IV and his wife Deborah, Carol Ann Kurkjian and her husband Glenn and Scott Coughlin and his wife Briana. He also leaves his grandchildren; Carlee Kurkjian Kettel, Kyle Kurkjian, J.C Coughlin and Melissa Coughlin and 2 great grandsons; Owen and Bentley Kettel.
A Memorial Service will be held in the Eaton Funeral Home, 1351 Highland Ave, Needham, on Wednesday, February 20th at 11:00 am. A Celebration of Jack’s Life will follow at the Needham VFW, 20 Junction St, Needham.
