Lois O'Brien Obituary

Lois (O'Brien) O'Brien, formerly lived in Newton, MA with her husband and son, grew up in Melrose, MA, and spent her last days in Center Ossipee, NH surrounded by loving family. Lois passed away in her sleep on Aug 26, 2018.

Lois was the beloved wife of the late Francis O’Brien of Newton, MA, devoted mother of William O’Brien of Center Ossipee, NH, daughter of deceased Mary and Martin O’Brien, loving sister of Joan Squires of Melrose, MA, deceased sister Marie Hurd of Somerville, MA, and deceased brother Martin O’Brien of Malden, MA. Lois was a loving grandmother of Joseph, Katlin and Sean and many great grandchildren, and aunt of many nieces and nephews. Lois graduated from St. Mary’s High School in Melrose, MA in 1949 and Malden Business School in Malden, MA. Lois worked for many years at Monsanto Chemical Plant in Everett, MA.

A wake for Lois will be held Wed Sept 5, 2018, between the hours of 3:00PM and 6:00PM at Eaton & Mackay Funeral Home 465 Centre St. Newton Corner. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday Sept 6, 2018 at 10:30AM in Our Lady Help Christians Church in Newton, MA. Interment will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery West Roxbury.
