Marguerite "Marge" Wiberg Obituary

Marguerite “Marge” Louise (Koch) Wiberg, of North Hill in Needham died peacefully on Thursday, May 2, 2019.  Marge was born on November 20, 1925 in Brooklyn, NY to William and Sophia Koch.  She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Dr. Kenneth Wiberg; three children, Patricia, Robert, and Bill; and five granddaughters, Margot, Holly, Wendy, Kate, and Elle.

Marge grew up in Brooklyn and remained a life-long lover of New York City and long-suffering fan of the Brooklyn Dodgers and New York Mets.  She graduated from Brooklyn College in 1947 and embarked on an elementary school teaching career. After stays in Seattle, WA and Germany, she and Ken settled in Hamden, CT. She was an integral member of the community—balancing volunteering at church, raising her three children, and earning a Masters degree in Education with a focus on reading disabilities. She will be remembered as a bowling superstar and rummy purist, an avid traveler, and the most wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother.
