Marianne (McGillicuddy) Cashman

Marianne (McGillicuddy) Cashman of Needham. Daughter of the late Daniel P McGillicuddy and the late Marie (Oliver) McGillicuddy of Roslindale. Beloved wife of Richard Cashman, Loving Mother of R, Brett Cashman, Devin P. Cashman, and Colin D. Cashman. Devoted Grandmother of Ryan Hall Cashman, Mia Elizabeth Cashman, and Calvin Bedore Cashman. Loving Mother-in-Law of Elizabeth Yarborough Cashman, Isabel Hall Cashman, and Tanya Bedore Cashman. Devoted sister of Daniel P McGillicuddy, Karen (McGillicuddy) May, and Jane McGillicuddy. Marianne is also survived by many loved nieces and nephews, and her many dear friends who always provided love and support in so many ways.

Marianne graduated from Roslindae High School in Roslindale Ma, and was Valedictorian of her graduating Class in 1960. She then attended the State College at Boston where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Education and was the Class Essayist of her graduating class in 1964. After college she taught Elementary Education at the Washington Irving School in Roslindale, MA. and then went on to devote herself to her family. Later, after she raised her children, she continued on with her teaching vocation until her retirement.

Motherhood and teaching were her life goals and it centered around children. Her love of raising her own children and working with her children in education filled her with purpose and a dedication to contribute the best she could give to those efforts.

Marianne was a devout Catholic and a faithful communicant of Saint Bartholomew's Parish in Needham MA. Her faith and religion was one of the most important facets of her life and she lived it to her utmost all of her days.
