Martin Treiber Jr. Obituary

Martin E. Treiber, Jr., 79, of Dover, passed away on Friday, December 21, 2018. Beloved son of Martin and Katherine (Bowe) Treiber. Brother of Phyllis Treiber. Martin is survived by his children Kristin Welch and her husband Paul of Franklin, Heidi Buttles and her husband Mark of Boston, Matthew Treiber and his fiancée Kristin Gregor of Natick and his grandson Ryan Welch.

For 47 years he owned and operated Martin Opticians in Needham. Martin was born in Millburn New Jersey and graduated from Erie Technical College. He was a resident of Dover since 1974.  Martin was an avid golfer and he loved cooking, art, history and traveling to Washington, D.C. He was a lifelong Boston Celtics fans.

His Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, December 29 at 10 am at The Church of the Most Precious Blood, 30 Centre Street, Dover.  Relatives and friends are kindly invited. A private interment will follow at Highland Cemetery, Dover. Visiting hours will be in the Eaton Funeral Home, 1351 Highland Avenue, Needham on Friday, December 28 from 4-7 pm.
