Sarah Arabian

Sarah Arabian of Newton, MA passed away on Thursday, August 2, at the age of 97.  She is survived by her brother, Richard Hayrebedian (Elsie), daughter, Jane (James Bongarra), and son, Robert (Donna} and two grandsons, Karl and Kyle.  She was predeceased by her husband, Karl, in 1972.

Sarah loved gardening, the beach, and travelling all over the world.  When not travelling, she volunteered at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Newtonville, St. James Armenian Apostolic Church in Watertown, and at the Newton-Wellesley Hospital.  She was also a member of Palestine Chapter #114, Order of the Eastern Star.

Sarah will be remembered for her independent spirit and social, out-going nature.

A service for Sarah will be held on Monday Aug 6 at 11 AM  in the Eaton & Mackay Funeral Home 465 Centre St Newton Corner followed by interment in Newton Cemetery.
