Thomas F. Lynch Jr. of Newton Highlands, a retired dispatcher for the Newton Fire Dept, died suddenly Sept 22, 2018. He was 81.
Tom was born and raised in Newton and was a graduate of Our Lady Help of Christians High School. He served for five years in the US Navy and was a member of DAV Chapter 45 Waltham and member of Newton Lodge No 1327 BPOE
Tom was the beloved husband of Patricia (Poutas) Lynch and is survived by his sister Mary Lou Spellman and her late husband Frank and their daughter Eileen Terchiak and her husband Ed and their sons Edward and Scott, and their daughter Maryagnes Ralston and her husband Robert and her son Jake Pavao, his sister and brother in law Sally and Nick Pasquarosa and their children Nick Jr. and his wife Lisa, Daniel and his wife Barbara, and Anthony and his wife Julie, brother and sister in law John and Kathy Poutas and their children Stacy, John Jr. and his wife Samantha, Daniel and his wife Pouneh and Rob and his girlfriend Kristen. He was the great uncle of Benjamin, Vincent, Anthony, Jackson, Cyrus, Dana and Meredith and brother on law of the late Richard Poutas.
His funeral will be from the Eaton Funeral Home 1351 Highland Ave Needham on Wed Sept 26 at 9:30 AM followed by his Mass of Christian Burial in Mary Immaculate of Lourdes Church at 10:30 AM. Interment with Military Honors will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery Needham. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Visiting hours Tues 4-7 PM.
