William E "Bill" McEvoy

William E McEvoy, of Hudson formerly of Needham passed away on Jan 11, 2019. He was 82.

Bill was born and raised in Needham and graduated from Needham High and the University of Maine. He worked for many years as a sales representative in the paper industry, working for D.F.  Monroe, WWF and RIS paper. He served in the US Army and was an avid golfer and member of Sandy Burr Country Club in Wayland.  He was also heavily involved with Needham Little League and coached several All-Star teams throughout the 1970’s.

Bill was the husband of Dean (Dench) McEvoy, the loving father of William and his wife Lynne of Quechee VT, Judith Altier and her husband Steve of Sarasota FL, James and his wife Paula and Thomas and his wife Marianne both of Needham. Grampa of Shawn and wife Kayla, Jacquelyn, Ali, Casey and husband Colby, Jake, Sommer, Kelly, Sarah, Daniel, Mary, Lindsey, Tyler, Jessica and Jared and great grandfather of Levi and Finn. Brother of Robert of Halifax, Eleanor Budd of Falls Church VA and the late Dorothy Warwick.

His funeral service will be held on Fri Jan 18 at 10 AM in the Congregational Church of Needham 1154 Great Plain Ave Needham. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Visiting hours in the Eaton Funeral Home 1351 Highland Ave Needham on Thurs 4-7 PM. Interment is private.
