A . George Kerr "Papa G" of Fort Pierce, FL formerly of Natick, MA, died on August 30, 2011 after a long battle with A.L.S.
Born and raised in Newton George had lived in Natick for many years before moving to Ft. Pierce FL.
George was a pipefitter by profession and member of Pipefitters Local Union #537. He was also a long time member of Natick Lodge #1425 BPO Elks. George loved all Boston professional sports teams, his back porch in Hull, his days under the palm trees at the beach, and nights enjoying laughs with friends at Archie's.
George was the son of the late Lawrence and Christine (LeBlanc) Kerr of Newton, MA. and is survived by his beloved wife Marie (Monahan) Kerr. He was the devoted father of Christopher and his wife Eileen of Holliston, Gregory and his wife Christine of Natick, Robert and his wife Kate of Worcester and Katie (Kerr) and her husband Corey Clive of Port St. Lucie, FL. He was the cherished brother of Lawrence "Lonnie" and wife Irene Kerr, Nancy (Kerr) and her husband Cliff Chaisson, and Lorraine (Kerr) and husband Henry Berube. He is also survived by 10 loving grandchildren, many cousins, nieces and nephews.
His funeral Mass will be held at St. John the Evangelist Parish, 9 Glen Rd., Wellesley Hills, MA on Saturday, Sept 10 at 10 AM. Relatives and friends invited. Calling hours are Fri Sept 9 from 4–8 PM in the Eaton & Mackay Funeral Home, 465 Centre St., Newton, MA 02458. Interment at Calvary Cemetery, Waltham, MA.
