Albert Maccarone of Needham passed away on Jan 18, 2023 at the age of 95. Al was the beloved husband of the late Camille (Moro) Maccarone, the devoted father of Albert P. Maccarone, and Denise L. Spring and her husband Michael of Norwood His grandson Mark Albert Spring was the love of his life and his best buddy . He was the brother of Florence DiBenedetto, Angela LeBel, Isabella Consoli, Anna Maria Maccarone, Joseph Maccarone and the late Benedetto, Patrick, and Anthony Maccarone. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
He was a proud veteran of WW II and served as a Corporal in the Army. He was devoted to the Catholic church and was proud to serve as an usher at St. Joseph’s Church in Needham. He adored his family. His passions included his work as a food broker and caring for his home and his yard. He was an avid Red Sox fan and enjoyed watching golf. He worked for many years as a food broker for Daniel Mordecai Co, Roberts and Assoc and Port Terminals. For many years a member of the Needham Exchange Club and had been named “Exchangite Extraordinaire” by the club.
His Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tues Jan 24 at 10 AM in St. Joseph’s Church 1360 Highland Ave Needham. Anyone attending is asked to wear a mask in church. Interment with US Army Military Honors will follow in Needham Cemetery.
