Alfredo “Freddie” Pacione of Newton Centre, died on Thursday, May 26, 2011 at the Stone Institute in Newton Upper Falls. He was 93 years old. Born in Ofena, Italy, Freddie emigrated to the United States in 1935. He settled in Newton in 1954. Mr. Pacione worked for many years as an auto body technician at Murray’s in Somerville. He later worked for Stop & Shop in Brookline. Freddie was an avid gardener. He was the beloved husband for 67 years of Olga (Camuso) Pacione and the loving father of Louis Pacione and Jan Berger of West Palm Beach FL. Dear Grandfather of Lauren and Nicholas Pacione and the brother of Grasiella DeVico of Italy. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. His funeral will be from the Eaton and Mackay Funeral Home 465 Centre St NEWTON CORNER on Tuesday, May 31 at 9AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Sacred Heart Church at 10AM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Monday from 4-8PM. Interment will take place at St. Michael’s Cemetery, Roslindale.
