Alice Martha (Thomas) Childs of Newton, died on August 6, 2012, at the age of 93, at the Newton and Wellesley Alzheimer's Center. Loving wife of the late Edwin O. Childs 3rd. Devoted Mother of Sandra Childs Vickers and her husband James of Plymouth, Nancy Childs-Maher and her husband Patrick of Waban, Edwin O. Childs 4th and his wife Carroll McMahon of Newton Highlands and Eliot T. Childs of West Newton. Loving grandmother of Daniel, Michael and Ryan Maher and Edwin "Ned" Childs 5th.
A visiting hour will be held in the Eaton & Mackay Funeral Home 465 Centre St. NEWTON CORNER on Fri Aug 10 from 9-10 am, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Our Lady Help of Christians Church at 10:30 AM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. A reception will directly follow Mass in St. Jean's hall in the lower church. Interment will be in Newton Cemetery.
