Alice Louise (Foster) Shaw

Alice Louise (Foster) Shaw, a resident of Needham for over 60 years, passed away on Sept 22, 2025, she was 94.

Alice was born and raised in Newton and was a graduate of Newton High School. She went on to earn an associate’s degree from Westbrook Jr. College in Portland, ME and worked as a medical secretary. Alice was a member of the Newton Highlands Congregational Church in Newton Highlands and the Needham Congregational Church in Needham. She was a devoted wife and mother and enjoyed knitting and needlepoint and was known for her famous Jello Salads.

Alice was the wife for 72 years to the late Allan Ralph Shaw and was the mother of Steven Shaw of Norton and Christopher Shaw of Aberdeen, NC, grandmother of Derek Shaw of Rehoboth and Casandra “Cassie” Keith of Spring, TX, and great grandmother of Maxwell Shaw and Alex Keith. She was predeceased by her brother Arthur Foster.
