Alice “Amy” Holland (Mullan), of Millis and formerly of Needham, passed away December 16th at the age of 75.
Born in Needham, Amy was a graduate of Needham High School, class of 1968. She and her beloved husband Bill made their home in Needham, where they raised their family and built a life.
Amy was the devoted wife of the late Bill Holland and a loving mother to Mary (Holland) Allen and her husband Ben, Catherine Holland, and Andrew Holland and his wife Joan. She was a proud grandmother to Jason, Addison, Benjamin Holland, and Molly and Caroline Allen. She was predeceased by her dear friend, the late Carl “PG” Gordon.
Sister of John Mullan and his wife Susan, and the late Wilma Sweeney. Sister-in-law of Barbara Holland and her late husband Bill Emberton, Joan (Holland) Zweil and her husband Arthur, and Susan (Holland) Curry and her late husband Walter. She was loved by her many nieces and nephews.
Amy spent her life caring deeply for those around her. Generous with her time, love, and energy. An avid reader, Amy found great joy in books, especially sharing the Harry Potter series with Bill.
A service celebrating Amy’s life will be held at the Needham Masonic Hall, 1101 Highland Ave, Needham, Ma 02492 on Sunday, January 18th, 2026, at 1:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Amy’s memory to the Cure Alzheimer’s Fund at curealz.org
