Alliston Ley "Sally" Baker

Our beloved Aunt, Alliston “Sally” Ley Baker, passed away on March 31st, 2023 at the age of 81. Her life was marked by a passionate devotion to family, faith, service, and baseball.  She is survived by her nephew’s and niece, Chip Baker (Pamela Woods), Sean Baker Carter (Juliet Carter) and Betty Baker (Lisa Messina); and her grandnieces & grandnephews, Zoe, Syd, James, Tacy, Harper, Wyatt, and Frankie; in addition to many wonderful friends. 

Sally was predeceased by her parents, Donald and Louise Baker of Chestnut Hill and her brother, Terry Baker.  Sally attended The Winsor School and graduated from Connecticut College, Sally had a long and rewarding career at IBM. Sally cherished her family, and friends and created a life filled with love, laughter, and compassion.  She was truly loved and will be sorely missed by all who knew her. She adored many furry companions and was adored by them. 

A memorial service will be held at 10 am on Saturday, April 29, 2023 at Christ Church in Needham, Massachusetts, followed by a reception. All are welcome. In lieu of flowers please consider all donations to Circle of Hope in Needham at 1329 Highland Ave. Sally was a long-time volunteer and supporter of Circle of Hope as part of her extensive volunteerism and charity work.
