Amy Lyon Obituary

Amy Louise Lyon, 58, of Bellingham, MA passed away peacefully on April 1, 2026, leaving behind a lifetime of love, warmth and beautiful memories.

Amy was a truly special soul whose gentle spirit brought comfort and light to everyone lucky enough to know her. She shared 30 loving years with her devoted boyfriend and life partner, Paul Coffey.

She is predeceased by her mother Millicent (Penny) Mitchell, father Whitney Reed Lyon, stepfather Richard Mitchell, and stepmother Pamela Poulson Lyon.

She is survived by her sister, Dana Lyon Daigle, brother-in-law Joshua Joel Daigle, nephew Maxwell Reed Daigle and niece Macy Jane Daigle.

She leaves behind many others whose lives were brighter because of her presence.

Amy found joy in life’s simple and beautiful moments. Amy loved animals deeply and had a special appreciation for nature, especially the peaceful beauty of Deer Park and Squirrel Island. She also loved Cape Cod and the peace and happiness she found at the beach. She could often be found tending to her garden, admiring the birds she loved so much, or simply soaking in the comfort of the outdoors.

One of Amy’s greatest gifts was the love and care she gave to children. As a nanny for many years to several families, she became so much more than a caregiver – she became family. Her nurturing heart, gentle spirit and endless patience helped shape the lives of so many children who were lucky enough to be loved by her.

Amy will be lovingly remembered for the warmth she carried, the kindness she gave without hesitation, and the peaceful joy she found in caring for others and the world around her. Her memory will live on in every blooming flower, every bird song, and every quiet moment in nature that she cherished so deeply.

She will be missed beyond words and loved forever.

A remembrance service will be held at a later date.
