Amy E. Maguire of Newton Center, died suddenly after an extended illness, at her home on Tuesday, February 8, 2011. She was 67 years old. Born and raised in Roxbury, Amy was a graduate of Girls High School in Roxbury. She worked as a Data Base Administrator for Boston University, MBTA, Boston Police Dept. and Commercial Union/One Beacon Insurance Company. Amy retired from State Street Bank. The beloved daughter of the late Amy (Campbell) Maguire, she was the loving sister of Philip “Buddy” Maguire and Frank Jandreau of North Falmouth. Loving niece of Thomas Goodwin of Wakefield. Her Funeral will be from the Eaton and Mackay Funeral Home 465 Centre St. NEWTON CORNER on Monday February 14 at 9:30 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Our Lady Help of Christians Church at 10:30 AM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday from 2-6 PM. Interment Newton Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations in Amy’s name may be made to the American Diabetes Assoc. 330 Congress St, 5th Floor, Boston MA 02210.
