Ann P. "Nancy" (Carr) Cronin

Ann “Nancy” (Carr) Cronin, 87, Mashpee, formerly of Dover, peacefully passed away on June 20, 2019 with her family at her side. She was a loving wife of 59 years to Leo Cronin, with whom she is now lovingly reunited since his passing in 2015. The central figure and devoted Mother of Patricia Goodwin and her husband Gregory of East Harwich, MA; Janet Mucklow and her husband Steven of Arlington, VA; James Cronin of New York, NY; Thomas Cronin and his wife Jennifer Shaw Cronin of Medfield, MA; Francis Cronin of Boston, MA and John Cronin of San Francisco, CA.  She was a proud and loving grandmother to 6 grandchildren who remember Nana for her passion for family, tradition, her abundance of love, and the best chocolate bundt cake ever made! Nancy was the epitome of the strong and caring mother, whose focus was always on family and friends, where she made everyone close to her feel special in their own way. She loved cooking, sharing great food, wine and laughs, and even sang a few show tunes while on her journey with her soulmate Leo. Nancy was raised in Somerville where she met Leo, cheered him on as Captain of the Somerville HS basketball team, and best friend for life. Her joy for life, family, and friends will be remembered with Visiting Hours on Wednesday, June 26 from 4-7 PM at Eaton Funeral Home, 1351 Highland Ave., Needham. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, June 27 at 10 AM at Most Precious Blood Church, 30 Center St., Dover, MA. Finally, on Friday, June 28 at 1:45 PM there will be an Interment at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne, MA, where she will be laid to rest alongside her husband. The family welcomes and appreciates donations to Perkins School For the Blind and BrightFocus Foundation.
