With full hearts, we celebrate the life of our mother, Anna Miranda, who left this world peacefully on September 14th, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family.
She was born on April 3, 1933, in Jersey City, New Jersey, and for 92 wonderful years she filled the world with laughter, love, and warmth. She was the devoted wife and partner to her husband Francisco for 56 beautiful years. Together they built a life rooted in faith and joy; a marriage that was truly the heart of our family.
To her family, she was everything—our loving mother, a cherished mother-in-law, and the proudest grandmother to her twelve grandchildren. Her greatest joy was being with her family, and she never missed a chance to remind us, and anyone who would listen, just how proud she was of each and every one of us.
She was strong, incredibly smart, quick-witted, and funnier than she knew. She was an avid reader (finishing 3-4 books a month), and the best storyteller we knew—she could turn ordinary books and stories into vivid colorful tales. Her laughter and her stories will echo in our hearts always.
Caring for others was part of who she was. As a registered nurse and nurse anesthetist, she poured her compassion into her work, touching countless lives with her calm presence and steady hands.
She leaves behind a legacy not only written in achievements, but in the lives she touched and the family she loved so deeply. We will carry her wit, her stories, and her love forward, forever grateful for having her in our lives.
A Mass of Christian Burial honoring Anna will be held on Saturday, September 20th, 2025, at 10am in St. Joseph Church, 1360 Highland Avenue, Needham, (stjosephparishneedham.com) In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Friends of Dana-Farber Cancer Institute https://fs2.formsite.com/0Cm5y0/form1/index.html
Mom, your life was a beautiful gift, and your memory will always be our blessing. We love you.
