Anthony G. Wallace Jr., 98, of Needham, passed away on Friday, January 7, 2022. He was the father of Stephen J. Wallace of Bourne, Gary R. Wallace of Ossipee, NH and Daniel V. Wallace and his wife Eileen of Franklin. Brother of six predeceased siblings: Mary Witis, Lilian Wilczewski, Vincent, Peter, Walter and Joseph Wallace. He was Papa Mac to 7 grandchildren: Rob, Mike, Tim, Jennie, Katie, Jeff, Marianne and their spouses. He also had 4 great-grandchildren: Evie, Hazel, Chloe and Jon Michael Anthony is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, including his niece, Cindy Plaster who often volunteered as a loving caretaker.
Anthony was a lifelong Needham resident and graduate of Needham High School Class of 1941. As a WWII veteran he proudly served in the 103rd Infantry Division. He was awarded the Purple Heart and received the Bronze Medal for his service in the area of Alsace-Lorraine and the Vosges Mountains. His career belongs to Raytheon where he started in the drafting department in 1948. His family is his legacy.
A Funeral Service will be held in the Eaton Funeral Home, 1351 Highland Avenue, Needham, on Thursday, January 13th at 1:00pm. Visitation will be held in the funeral home from 12noon to 1pm. Prior to the service. Interment with Military Honors will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Needham.
