Antoinette (Toni) Dolores Lombardi

Antoinette (Toni) Dolores Lombardi, 95 years old, died June 28, 2022 in Boynton Beach, FL, following a brief illness.

Beloved wife of the late Alfred (Fred) Lombardi:  Devoted mother to her daughters Janet Baldassarre and Debbie Lindsay (Bob Fredo) and her son Alfred Jr. "Fred" Lombardi; loving grandmother to Dana (Tom) Pallotta and Derek (Jessica) Baldassarre and to her great-grandchildren James & Olivia Pallotta and Brady & Evan Baldassarre. She was the loving sister to the late Mary Lavorgna and leaves behind her devoted sister Loretta Kendig and extended family and friends.

Toni was born and raised in Newton, Massachusetts and was the daughter of the late Raymond and Anna DeRubeis. She lived, the majority of her life in Newton and then moved to Boynton Beach, Florida in 1997. It was in Newton as a young girl met the love of her life, the boy across the street (Crafts), Fred Lombardi. They married on June 15, 1947 and were inseparable and affectionately called each other “Lovey”; the name they would call each other all of their married life until Fred passed away in 2012 after 66 years of marriage.  

Her only real interest was spending time with her family and doting on her grandchildren and then their children. She remained vital, strong and healthy throughout her life, many believed due to her 4 miles walks while shopping.

Visiting hours will be held at Eaton & Mackay Funeral Home, 465 Centre St, Newton, on Tuesday, July 12, from 4:00-8:00 pm. Funeral Mass on Wednesday, July 13 at 10:30 am in Our Lady Help of Christians Church, 573 Washington St., Newton. Burial Newton Cemetery.

The family asks donations be made to the Komen Breast Cancer Foundation in her honor in lieu of flowers.
