Barbara M. (Kearns) Barr, formerly of Needham passed away on Oct 28, 2023. She was 99.
Barbara was born in Boston and had lived in Needham for many years and 72 of those years were spent in her home on Webster St. She loved bowling, quilting, and shopping.
Barbara was the wife of the late Gordon Barr and was predeceased by her son Gordon Jr., her daughter Sheila Anderson and her grandson Shawn Anderson. She is survived by her daughter Gayle Pennington, son Douglas 11 grandchildren 17 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of Richard Kearns, James Kearns the late Marilyn Mc Allister, Paul Kearns, Mary Charlotte Kothman, Norman Kearns, and Virginia Kelly.
A funeral service will be held on Thurs Nov 2 at 11 AM in the Eaton Funeral Home 1351 Highland Ave Needham followed by interment in Needham Cemetery. All are welcome to join the family after at Echo Bridge Restaurant (Mario's) for pizza and salad.
In lieu of flowers, a donation in memory of Barbara to the New England Center and Home for Veterans 17 Court Street, Boston MA 02108 would be appreciated.
