Barbara F. (Hixon) Dwyer

Barbara F. (Hixon) Dwyer, of Medfield, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Wednesday, August 11, 2021. She was 99 years old. Barbara was born in Brighton MA and graduated from Brighton High in 1940.

She and her husband Daniel raised their family of 7 in Newton Highlands. Barbara worked for many years at Valley Steak House and The Highlands Restaurant in Newton. She also was a bookkeeper at Vendome Restaurant in Boston. Barbara loved spending time with friends and family in Orleans and Falmouth in Cape Cod.

Beloved wife of the late Daniel A. Dwyer, Barbara was the loving mother of Dan Dwyer of Millis MA, Kathy Dwyer Summerville and her husband Fred of Butler PA,

Kevin Dwyer and his late wife Diana Gird Dwyer of Falmouth MA, Nancy Dwyer Kulesza and her husband Rick of Cape Coral FL, Barry Dwyer and his wife Karen Crowley Dwyer of Millis MA, Maureen Dwyer Eldridge and her husband Robert of Natick MA and Michael Dwyer and his wife Michelle Lefevre Dwyer of Newton MA. Barbara is also survived by her 21 Grandchildren, 25 Great Grandchildren, 9 Great Great Grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours in the Eaton Funeral Home, 1351 Highland Avenue, Needham, on Sunday, August 15th from 3-6pm. The Funeral Service and Interment will be private.
