Barbara Ellis Neale

Barbara Ellis Neale, of Portland CT, formerly of Needham MA, passed away in her home on Saturday, February 15, 2025. She was 95 years old. Born in Boston, Barbara was raised in Needham and was a graduate of Needham High School. She enjoyed sewing and knitting and animals. Her family always came first, and she took great pleasure in their frequent phone calls and personal visits.

Barbara was the beloved wife of the late George A. Neale and is survived by her children, George A Neale Jr and his wife Linda of Middletown Ct, Paul Neale of Plaistow NH, William Neale and his wife Deb of Myrtle Beach SC and Susan Goebel and her husband Tom of Schenectady NY. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren and by her sisters Mary “Ditter” Coyne of IL and Norma McEvoy of Needham MA.

A Funeral Service will be held in the Eaton Funeral Home, 1351 Highland Ave, Needham, on Saturday, February 22nd at 12noon. Visitation will be held on Saturday morning from 11-12noon, prior to the service. Interment will follow the service at Needham Cemetery.
