Barry Williams Obituary

Barry Mark Williams of Wellesley, MA passed away in his home on August 12, 2021.  Barry was born in Boston, MA, on May 26, 1959.  He was the son of Frederick Jackson Williams and Ann (Sammarco) Williams.

Barry grew up in Niantic, CT before moving to Needham, MA.  He was a nutritionist, passionate about assisting with nutritional recommendations for overall health to anyone interested; researching ailments, potential cures and encouraging a healthy lifestyle.  Barry loved music and DJ’d a radio show on WZBC featuring unique and alternative music for many years which he loved.  He also did some building and remodeling work as well as landscaping and gardening.

Barry traveled extensively for both business and pleasure and always returned with wonderful stories of the adventures he encountered in his travels.  Island hopping in Greece, England, Scotland, the Vineyard; Cape Cod; Utah; Yellowstone; California and many other places.  Barry loved kayaking, hiking and nature.  He was an accomplished potter sharing that pastime and kayaking with his cousin Sharon.  He loved adventure and was always the first to play and get games going.

Barry loved to bring special unique treats that would help you to feel special and he always remembered birthdays.  He had a love of music, antiques, art, nature, food, cooking, picking berries, the pond, Heritage Museums and Gardens, the Sandwich Glass Museum, Yesteryear Doll Museum, Crow Farm and the fish hatchery from the Cape. He also enjoyed watching everyone else cower from the geese that ruled the family’s home on the Cape, which he had the courage to pick up and carry around (whether or not they liked it!).  Barry was an instigator, especially with his brothers; he loved to play.  Croquet, badminton, cards, or just winding everyone up to sit back and watch.  He loved horseback riding at Rydin Hi in New York and was an animal lover, always looking for a hiking companion when visiting in Vermont.

Barry is survived by his brothers Frederick J. Williams and his partner Barbara of Leominster, MA, Glenn E. Williams and his wife Tina of Chelmsford, MA, Charles A. Williams and his wife Michele of Kissimmee, FL, Guy F. Williams and his wife Renee of Londonderry, NH as well as several nephews and nieces, Janice Williams, Sharon Grant, Kerry McGowan, Deborah Turner, Laura Wilder, Doug Phoenix, Marie Williams, Anne Williams, Carol Williams and other aunts, uncles and cousins.

Barry was predeceased by his Mother, Father, grandparents, Sayre Samuels, Aunt Ann and Uncle Gene and Eileen Howard.
