Beverly Emerson

Beverly Emerson of Needham died on Monday June 7th at Briarwood Healthcare in Needham. She was 86 years old. Born in Boston, she was a graduate of Roslindale High School Class of 1941. Beverly attended Boston Clerical School and Northeastern University. She lived in West Roxbury for 35 years before moving to Needham almost 50 years ago. She worked for the ExxonCorporation in the marketing department before going to work for the Provident Institution for Savings, where she worked for 25 years from 1966 to 1991. She retired as the Clerk of the Corporation. Beverly loved dogs. She also enjoyed painting and sailing off the coast of Maine on Windjammers. Beverly was the dear daughter of the late Chester and Marion B. (Flanders) Emerson. A Graveside service will be held at Needham Cemetery, 128 Nehoiden St Needham on Tuesday June 15 at 12 Noon. All are welcome to attend. In lieu of flowers donations in Beverly’s name may be made to the Animal Rescue League of Boston, 10 Chandler St Boston MA 02116.
