Beverly (Hanscom) Socoby

Beverly Hanscom Socoby passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Tuesday, December 28, 2010. She was born in Newton Upper Falls and has resided in Needham since 1951. Beverly graduated from Needham High School in 1955. She was the loving daughter of the late Anne (Lambert) and Newton E. Hanscom. Beverly was the beloved wife of Lawrence “Larry” Socoby of Needham, MA for 52 years, the loving mother of Larry Socoby and his wife Denise of Medway, MA and Sharon Socoby and her husband Edwin Denson of Chicago, IL. She was the dear sister of Warren Hanscom and his wife Janet of Marshfield, MA, Joan Golley of Marshfield, MA, and Cheryl MacLeod and her husband Malcolm of Needham, MA, the adored grandmother of Christine Socoby, Stephen Socoby and Lawrence Denson, and loving Aunt of many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held in the Eaton Funeral Home, 1351 Highland Avenue, Needham on Mon Jan 3, 2011 at 11:30 AM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Visiting hours will be on Sun from 4-7 PM. Interment at Needham Cemetery.
