Carleen Ann Duffy of Needham, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, December 24, 2021. She was 64 years old. Carleen was a graduate of Braintree High School, New England Deaconess School of Nursing and received a Bachelors degree in Nursing from Emmanuel College. She worked as a registered nurse for Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center for 30 years, many of which were in the Cardio Thoracic ICU. Carleen loved travelling and interior decorating.
Carleen was the beloved wife of John Blake Cotter and the dear daughter of Bridget and the late Michael Duffy of Braintree. Sister of Brendan Duffy and his wife Peg of Braintree, Elaine O’Shaughnessy and her husband Liam of Oranmore Ireland and Deirdre Kelly and her husband Mark of Summerfield, NC, she is also survived by 10 nieces and nephews. Visiting hours in the Eaton Funeral Home, 1351 Highland Ave, Needham, on Monday, January 3rd from 5-8pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in St. Joseph Church, 1360 Highland Ave, Needham on Tuesday, January 4th at 10am. Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Needham. In lieu of flowers, donations in Carleen’s name may be made to the Lank Cancer Center at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Needham, 148 Chestnut St, Needham MA 02492.
