Carol I (Gallagher) Thomas

Carol Irene Thomas (nee Gallagher), of Needham, formerly of Foxboro, passed away at home on Monday, December 1, 2025.

We fondly mourn the passing of Carol Thomas. Carol was born December 26, 1937, in Riverside, East Providence, RI at the house of her grandmother. She is the daughter of the late Leo Harold Gallagher, originally of Syracuse, NY, and the late Hazel Irene Gallagher (nee Davis), of East Providence, RI. For many years she was a travel agent for American Express, and in the past has been a member of the Junior New Century Club and the Needham Garden Club.

Carol was the mother of Steven, of Needham, James and his wife Lauren, of Hopkinton, and the late John Mark “Chip” Thomas. She is also survived by her grandson Chandler, and her devoted household partner, J. David Tholl.

Visitation will be held in the Eaton Funeral Home, 1351 Highland Ave, Needham, on Thursday December 11th from 10am to 11:30am, when there will be a brief service at 11:30am. Burial will follow at Needham Cemetery.
