After a long battle with Cancer, Caroleen Midura, of Walpole, MA, passed away at the age of 54 on June 11,2012. Caroleen grew up in Longmeadow, Massachusetts and graduated Longmeadow High School as Salutatorian. She graduated Trinity College Phi Beta Kappa with a BA in mathematics. After college, Caroleen pursued a career as an Actuary, working for New England Life Insurance Company and Metlife for over 27 years. She retired from Metlife in 2007 as an Assistant Vice President and Pension Actuary. Caroleen enjoyed traveling and dining out, biking, reading, skiing, fashion, and home decorating and re¬-modeling. Most of all she loved doing everything humanly possible to help and encourage her children in their school and extra-curricular activities. All that knew Caroleen will remember her with the greatest affection as a bright, hard-working, sweet, loving, devoted, and generous wife, mother, friend, and employee. Caroleen has been a resident of Walpole, MA for the past 19 years. She is survived by her husband of 21 years, Mark Rosen, her daughters, Jordanna, age 20, and Alyssa, age 14, and her sister, Lauralyn Carlson, of Hampden, MA and Old Saybrook, CT. She will be deeply missed by her extended family and many friends. In lieu of flowers, it is requested that donations be made in Caroleen's memory to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation or any other worthy Breast Cancer charity of your choice. A private memorial service for the family will be held at a later date.
