Christopher O'Hare Obituary

Christopher Richard O’Hare of Walpole, formerly of Needham passed away peacefully at home on December 13th, 2024. Chris had lived with kidney cancer for the last several years.

Chris is survived by his loving wife Lorinda O’Hare of Walpole MA, his daughter Ashley and her husband JD Pappagallo of Walpole MA, his daughter Lauren of Waltham MA, and his daughter Taylor and her fiancé Robert McCarthy of Randolph Vermont. He was the brother of Patricia and her husband Russell Calemmo of East Hampton NY, brother of Barbara Luken of Atlanta GA, and brother-in law of Bradford and Patti Cutler of San Antonio TX. Chris is survived by two grandchildren: Elle & Austin Pappagallo. He is also survived by many loving family members and friends.

Chris was born on December 31st, 1951 to Richard and Blanche O’Hare and grew up in East Islip, NY. He attended Drake University where he met Lorinda and graduated with a degree in Journalism and Film before going on to work as a videographer at Channel 5 in Needham, MA. He won an Emmy for Individual Achievement for his work on the show Chronicle. He then did camera work and directing via his own company, O’Hare Productions, for the remainder of his impressive career.

Chris was a devoted husband, parent, brother, and grandparent. He touched the lives of so many with his kindness, mentorship, and empathy. Throughout his journey with cancer, Chris displayed unwavering positivity and incredible determination, inspiring those closest to him. He will be greatly missed.

Visiting hours will be held at Eaton Funeral Home, 1351 Highland Avenue, Needham on Saturday December 21st at 10am followed by a service at Noon. Interment will follow at Needham Cemetery.
