Claire (Miniutti) Tedeschi

Claire Miniutti Tedeschi, 95, a resident of Newton died surrounded by her loving family.  Born in Dorchester, MA October 5, 1927 she was the daughter of the late Peter and Aurelia Milani Miniutti.

Claire was a graduate of Jerimiah Burke High School.  She moved to Newton with her husband John in 1954 where they raised their family.  Claire enjoyed cooking, traveling and most of all spending time with her family, including her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Claire was the beloved wife John J. Tedeschi.  She was the loving mother of Richard Tedeschi and his wife Joanne, Robert Tedeschi, and daughter Janet Tedeschi.  Sister of the late James Miniutti, David Miniutti and Lorraine Bordonaro.  Also survived by her cherished grandchildren Alissa and her husband Brian, Lauren and Nathan, her two great grandchildren William and Annie, as well as many nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, March 22 at 11:30am at St. Joseph’s Church, 1360 Highland Ave. Needham.  Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the Eaton Funeral Home, 1351 Highland Ave. Needham, on Wednesday from 10-11am. Interment at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Needham.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Claire to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation ( jdrf.org) or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital ( stjude.org).
