As her children became adults, she worked as a store clerk at the local dress shop, Elaine’s, for several years. Many of us remember Connie’s famous banana breads that were given to us every time we visited, as well as her fabulous meatballs, quiches and lasagna. We will also remember her love of Scrabble, and jigsaw puzzles. She loved to crochet, especially hats and afghans, of which we all received an abundance.
Most of all, we will remember Connie’s love of her family, her friends and her church. She was recognized as St. Joseph’s Woman of the Year fifteen years ago for her devotion to the parish. Her faith was a constant source of joy and comfort to her.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, November 23 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Church at 1382 Highland Ave. Needham, MA. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests consideration of contributions in Connie’s memory to either St. Joseph Parish or The Center at The Heights in Needham.
