Daniel F. Nichols

Daniel F. Nichols 71, of Waltham died suddenly at his home on Thursday November 11, 2010. Born and raised in Needham, Dan graduated from the Needham High School in 1959 . He served with the National Guard from 1960 -1966. He worked at the William Carter Company, The First National Store and the American Can Company all formerly of Needham. Dan had been a resident of Waltham for over 35 years. Dan loved animals and the outdoors. He was the son of the late Mary L. (Horsford) and John C. Nichols. Dear brother of Gary T Nichols of Framingham, Carol A. Forest of Penacook, NH, Sandra J. Brooks of Brewster, the late Mary E. “Betty” Civetti, J. Paul, Robert and Richard Nichols. Dan also is survived by many nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Eaton Funeral Home 1351 Highland Ave Needham on Wed Nov. 17th at 9:00 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph Church Needham at 10:00 AM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Visiting hours Tuesday 4-8 PM. Interment Needham Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials in Dan’s memory may be made to the Animal Rescue League of Boston, 10 Chandler St. Boston, MA 02116.
