David Dolitka Obituary

David Joseph Dolitka, a lifelong resident of Newton Highlands, died on Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at Newton Wellesley Hospital. He was 57 years old. David was born in Newton and was a graduate of Newton South High School Class of 1972. He played football at Newton South. He graduated from Northeastern University in 1977. David worked as a Property Manager for Thayer and Associates. In his spare time, David liked to fix things and was a "handyman extraordinaire". David was the beloved husband of Michele (LaBonte) Raymond Dolitka and the loving son of Lydia (Cifaldo) and Frank A. Dolitka of Newton Highlands. He was the brother of the late Katherine A. Dolitka and stepfather of Spec. Christopher D. Raymond, US Army, currently serving in Afghanistan and his wife Alicia of Fayetteville NC and Michael F. Raymond of Medford. David is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be held in the Eaton Funeral Home 1341 Highland Ave Needham on Friday, June 29 from 4-7 PM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in Mary Immaculate of Lourdes Church 270 Elliot St Newton Upper Falls on Saturday, June 30 at 10:30 AM. Interment St. Mary's Cemetery, Needham. In lieu of flowers donations in David's name may be made to the American Heart Association, 20 Speen St, Framingham MA 01701 or to the New England Organ Bank, 60 First Avenue, Waltham, MA 02451.
