David W. Jones, a lifelong Needham resident died suddenly March 19, 2012 at Brigham & Women's Hospital in Boston. He was 45.
David graduated from Needham High in 1984 and had worked as an assistant chef at North Hill in Needham. He also worked as a custodian at McNeil Assoc in Westwood, Brandeis University in Waltham and was currently working for the Town of Lexington. He also worked part time for Chromasonic TV in Needham.
David loved to drive and take long road trips with his wife and dog. He enjoyed spending time on the Cape and swimming in the ocean. David loved amusement parks and going on the wildest rides. He had an infectious laugh and was known for making his own lyrics to every day songs which would leave his family in stitches. He loved music and playing his electric guitar. He was an avid fan of the rock group KISS. He was a very hard worker, but always made time for everyone. He helped anyone in need. He had arms of steel and was well-known for his lifting ability. He will be greatly missed and no one will ever be able to fill his shoes.
David was the loving husband of Laura (Grasso) Jones and loving father of Lori Jones of CO. Dear son of William D. and Marilyn (Messier) Jones, brother of Diane Ryan and her husband William and uncle of Grace Ryan all of Needham and Allison of Fl. David is also survived by many other nieces and nephews.
A visiting hour will be held on Fri morning from 9-10:30 AM in the Eaton Funeral Home 1351 Highland Ave. (exit 19 B off Rte 128) NEEDHAM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph Church at 11 AM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Interment St. Mary's Cemetery Needham.
