Dean M Boylan of Needham, formerly of Winthrop, Milton, North Scituate and Jupiter Florida died at home July 21, 2012 peacefully with his family. Beloved husband of the late Kathleen (O'Shea) Boylan. Devoted father of Jeanne-Marie Boylan of Boston and Dean M. Boylan Jr and his wife, Victoria, of Andover. Proud grandfather of Colleen Elizabeth Cooper and her husband Conor of Canton, GA, Dean Francis Boylan of Boston, and Anna Kathleen Boylan of Woodstock GA. Dear friend of Janice Barry of Milton. Predeceased by his brother, Daniel J Boylan Jr., and his sister, Deane McCauley Boylan. Mr. Boylan graduated from Babson College in 1950. The same year Mr. Boylan joined his father at Boston Sand & Gravel Company and became President in 1956. He grew Boston Sand throughout New England and built the Company known as the "First and Finest". In 1960 he was one of the ten founding owners of the Boston Patriots. He was also a part owner of the Boston Beacons. Mr. Boylan served as Chairman of the Massachusetts Concrete & Aggregate Producers Association. He was a member of Woodland Golf Club, Wollaston Golf Club, Hatherly Country Club and La Gorce Country Club. He will be missed by a multitude of friends who are kindly invited to attend his funeral which will be held from the Eaton Funeral Home 1351 Highland Avenue Needham on Friday, July 27 at 9am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph Church at 10 am. Visiting hours on Thursday from 4-8pm. Interment at Newton Cemetery.
