Diane Coleman Obituary

Diane Fletcher Coleman, 75, of Wellesley Hills, MA, passed away suddenly on January 1, 2026. She is survived by her beloved husband of 36 years, Francis D. Coleman, Jr., and her brother Dwight Fletcher and his wife Darlene of Punta Gorda, FL. Preceding her in death was her father Kenneth B. Fletcher, her mother Elizabeth E. Cort, her step-father Earl Cort, her dear aunt Doris Forman and her uncle Harry Forman.

Diane grew up in Greenville, SC until 1965 when her family moved to Wellesley Hills, MA. After graduating from Wellesley High School in 1968, Diane moved to New York City where she developed her professional sales skills working in the garment industry. Shortly after working in the fast-paced garment industry, she decided to move back to her family home in Wellesley Hills and took a position with Mac Goldman as a Manufacturer's Sales Representative in the Junior Sportswear Clothing Industry covering the entire New England area.

Traveling all over New England eventually became a great burden on Diane so she pursued new opportunities and landed in a pharmaceutical sales career path specializing in dermatology with Bristol-Myers Squibb, Wyeth-Ayers Laboratories, and Hoffman-LaRoche, all of which she absolutely loved. Diane was selflessly dedicated to helping others understand the value of key medical products and improving their quality of life. A resourceful and committed professional, Diane touched the lives of many through her work.

In 1981, Diane met and fell in love with Fran Coleman, and they married 8 years later in 1989 at the Union Church in Waban, MA. During the early years of their marriage, they purchased a house and lived in Canton, MA before moving back to their present home in Wellesley Hills where they have resided since 2007.

During the time Diane scaled back on her career traveling, she enrolled in Lesley College and graduated in 2006 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Liberal Arts. During her college years, she developed many treasured and lasting friendships that carry forth to today.

Diane loved leisurely vacation travel, and her most special place was in Aruba with her family and friends. Her husband Fran bought a timeshare there in 1985, and they spent the next 25 plus years enjoying the blissful sunshine and beautiful beaches in Aruba.

Diane had a true passion and love for dogs so she talked Fran into buying one from a friend’s 8 week old litter. She was a Labrador Retriever/German Shepherd mix whom Diane named "Misty". More dogs followed after Misty's passing 16 years later. Next came "Sadie", a beautiful fluffy Great Pyrenees mix that she adopted from a Tennessee shelter in 2007. Sadie was very loyal to Diane and followed her everywhere. Sadly, Sadie passed away in 2020 which broke Diane’s heart. Two years later, Diane adopted two more dogs - Jocelyn “Jo Jo” and Ted Lasso “Teddy”. JoJo was another Great Pyrenees mix and Teddy was a Husky and German Shepherd mix. Both dogs brought great joy to Diane after Sadie's passing, and they adjusted well to living in Wellesley Hills. They will surely miss Diane immensely.

Diane truly had a heart of gold and enjoyed living her life to the fullest. She will be dearly missed as she rests in eternal peace.
