Dorothy Mackay Obituary

Dorothy E. (Quinn) Mackay a lifelong resident of Newton and longtime summer resident of Little Compton RI, died on Feb 26, 2011 at Sunrise of Burlington. She was 96.
Dorothy graduated from Newton High School and attended secretarial school. She worked as an administrative secretary at Underwood School, and she was co-owners with her late husband, Vyvan, of the Mackay Funeral Home in Newton. She was a member of Palestine Chapter No. 114 Order of the Eastern Star
Dorothy was the beloved wife of the late Vyvan P. Mackay, and she is survived by her daughters Cynthia Marchand and Kristin Mackay both of Newton, her son Ronald of RI, 5 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. She was the sister of the late David Quinn and Harry Quinn.
A funeral service will be held on Wed Mar 2 in the Eaton & Mackay Funeral Home 465 Centre St. NEWTON CORNER. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Visiting hours are Tues 4-8 PM. Interment Newton Cemetery.
