Dorothy Perethian Obituary

Dorothy (Johnson) Perethian, of Newton, formerly of Needham died on Saturday, June 19 at the Stanley R. Tippett House in Needham. She was 87 years old. Born in Newport Rhode Island, Dorothy grew up in Pawtucket and was a graduate of Pawtucket East High School. She attended Bryant College where she met her husband. The beloved wife of the late Harold Perethian, she was the loving mother of Janet P. Bigelow Stauffer and her husband Dale of Westwood and the dear grandmother of Stephen A. Bigelow and his wife Amanda of Medfield and Christopher J. Bigelow of Westwood. Great grandmother of Sadie Pearl Bigelow. Her Funeral Services was held in the Eaton Funeral Home 1351 Highland Ave Needham on Tuesday June 22 at 10AM. Visiting hours were held on Tuesday morning from 9 -10 AM prior to the service. Interment took place at Swan Point Cemetery 585 Blackstone Blvd, Providence RI on Tuesday at 1:00 PM. In lieu of flowers donations in Dorothy’s name may be made to The Lutheran Church of the Newtons Memorial Fund, 1310 Centre St, Newton Centre 02459
