Edith P. (Prince) Johnson

Edith P. (Prince), Johnson, of Hanover, formerly of Newton, died on Tuesday, March 1, 2011 at the Queen Anne Nursing Home in Hingham, 28 days before 100th birthday. Born in Brookline, Edith was the daughter of the late George and Eva (Triggs) Prince. She had been a resident of Newton for over 43 years and Needham for 9 years before moving to Hanover in 1994. Mrs. Johnson was a member of St. Andrews Church of Hanover, Friends of Hanover Council on Aging and a former member of the Compass Club of Newton, Newton Wellesley Hospital Auxiliary and Boston Council for Charity. Beloved wife of the late William G. Johnson, she wax the loving mother of Stephen P. Johnson of Hanover, Kent H. Johnson of Tucson AZ and Leslie MacDonald of Hanover. Sister of the late Alice P. Williams. Also survived by 5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held at Newton Cemetery Chapel, 791 Walnut St, Newton on Tuesday March 29 at 11AM. Interment will follow in Newton Cemetery.
