Edward A. "Eddy" Costa

Edward A. Costa, 84, of Newton Upper Falls and Centerville died on May 27, 2011at Epoch of Weston. Ed graduated from Newton North High School class of 1945, and was a retired employee of the City of Newton School Department for 35 years. He leaves his beloved wife of 57 years, Anna E. Costa, sons Dr. James E. Costa and his wife Dorothy and CAPT David W. Costa U.S. Navy (ret), and his wife JoAnn; grandchildren, Elizabeth Costa, Nicholas Costa, ENS Ryan Costa, U.S. Navy, and David Costa, sisters Dorothy Hamill of Nashua, N.H., Louise Gogolos of Hudson, and Catherine Keegan of Newton. Pre-deceased by brothers John, Nicholas, Louis, Leo, Joseph, and Raymond Costa, sisters Jeannette Ligor and Elvira Costa. An avid gardener, Ed enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, and countless hours tending to his vegetable garden. Funeral from Eaton Funeral Home, 1351 Highland Ave. Needham, Wednesday, June 1st 9:30AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Mary Immaculate of Lourdes Church, Newton Upper Falls at 10:30 AM Visiting hours are Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM.
