Eleanor Nutile Obituary

Eleanor Nutile, of Walpole, formerly of Needham, passed away on Friday, April 30 at age 92 after a brief illness. Wife of the late LeRoy Nutile and devoted mother of Thomas Nutile of Natick and Michael Nutile and his wife Catherine Folkes of Manchester-by-the-Sea, daughter of the late Michael and Flora Picariello of Needham and sister to Andrew Picariello of Marstons Mills and the late Elizabeth Catalano, formerly of West Roxbury. Eleanor also leaves behind many loving nieces, nephews and cousins. Eleanor spent most of her life in Needham, attending Needham High School before graduating from Boston University with a degree in biology. She was active in Needham politics and a longtime Town Meeting member. She enjoyed playing tennis with her friends at the Needham Pool and Racquet Club and the Needham Tennis Club, and continued to play into her 80s. Services were private. Burial was in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Needham.
