Elizabeth Miller Crawford, of Westwood, died May 17, 2012. A Needham resident for many years, she was born in New York on August 19, 1919, the daughter of Richard Hamilton Miller and Catherine Elizabeth Miller. She was the beloved wife of the late James Day Crawford and beloved mother of the late Richard Hamilton Crawford. She and James Crawford were married in 1947 and lived in Needham where they raised their son. She and her late husband became members of the Congregational Church in Needham on April 3, 1958. She is survived by her beloved grandson, and pride and joy, Matthew James Crawford who was born on July 14, 1994, and her daughter-in-law, Christine Jones, both of Attleboro.
Burial will take place at Oak Hill Cemetery in Fairfield, Connecticut. A memorial service will be held in the chapel of the Congregational Church in Needham on Saturday, June 16th at 10:00 a.m. A small reception will also be held at Fox Hill Village in Westwood on Saturday, June 16th at 12:00 noon. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Salvation Army, Massachusetts Chapter.
