Elizabeth DeMeo Obituary

Elizabeth J. “Betty” (Bradley) DeMeo,of Auburndale, died suddenly May 10, 2011 at her home. She was 86. Born in Auburn, NY she graduated from Nazareth College in Rochester in 1947. She worked as a chemist for Eastman Kodak where she met her future husband. Betty was a resident of Newton since 1957 and had been active with St. Philip Neri Parish and with the Newton Knights of Columbus, where she helped her husband coordinate the annual "Tootsie Roll Drive" to raise money for the mentally challenged. She is survived by her beloved husband of 59 years, Paul J. DeMeo, and her children Paul D. and his wife Lucienne of Derry NH, Christine Caezza and her husband Anthony of Dracut, Betsy DeMeo of Natick, J. Leo and his wife Sue of Juneau AK, Dorothy Lane and her husband Michael of Lake Tahoe NV, Daniel and his wife Patricia of Newmarket NH, Frederick and his companion Eva Faria of Weymouth and Cathi Marro and her husband Michael of Miami FL. Betty is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Her funeral will be from the Eaton & Mackay Funeral Home 465 Centre St. NEWTON CORNER on Mon May 16 at 9 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Sacred Heart Church Newton Centre at 10 AM.
